Disease Management

According to the American Diabetes Association, the total annual economic cost of diabetes in the United States was estimated at $174 billion in 2007.

Lilly has worked with a number of states and other payers to develop disease management programs for patients with chronic conditions. These programs help patients more effectively manage conditions such as diabetes through monitoring, self-examination, diet, exercise and other methods.
